About the Unified Scoring System

Property scoring uses a hierarchical structure:

  1. Criteria are individual measurable attributes (boolean, numeric, rating, or categorical)
  2. SubCriteria group related criteria within a dimension (e.g., "Water Security" under Self-Sustainability)
  3. Dimensions are the 5 scoring areas: Location, Self-Sustainability, Cost/Value/Opportunity, Robustness, and Glamor
  4. Scores roll up through weighted averages to produce dimension scores (1-10) and total scores

Mandatory criteria are deal-breakers. Properties failing mandatory criteria are flagged but not excluded, allowing you to see what's missing.
